Our Commitment to Sustainability: Starting Small, Thinking Big

With 80 years of experience as a trusted audio brand, we’ve always focused on delivering quality sound. Now, we’re taking that same dedication and applying it to a new challenge: reducing our environmental impact. We’re continuously exploring new ways to lessen our impact on the environment. We’re not perfect, and there’s always more work to be done, but we’re dedicated to making progress, one small step at a time.

Our DNA - building to last

Since 1945, we have been committed to producing high-quality audio products that are built to last. Our dedication to craftsmanship ensures that our products, like the iconic HD414 headphones, stand the test of time, with replaceable parts available even decades later.

A critical aspect of our commitment to durability involves rigorous testing, including stress testing our products to ensure they can withstand the demands of everyday use. This meticulous approach ensures that every product meets our high standards of longevity and performance, reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Less is more : plastic-free and smaller packaging on our latest products

Our commitment to improvement extends beyond just product design. We fully recognize the environmental implications of packaging and have made major efforts to reduce our packaging footprint. Our packaging is now plastic-free on our latest products. Furthermore, we have reduced overall packaging size for our last True Wireless products by 42%.

Frank Foppe, Senior Product Manager for Premium Headphones, plays a key role our commitment to sustainability and driving continuous improvement,

"Our mission goes beyond delivering superior sound. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint, and our move to plastic-free packaging is a significant step in the right direction."

“Our goal was to create packaging that reflects our commitment to the planet without sacrificing quality. It wasn’t just about eliminating plastic, but finding smarter, sustainable solutions in line with our brand values. Thanks to our team’s passion and collaboration with suppliers, we made this vision a reality.”

A role to play on e-waste: we are in this journey together.

As a brand known for exceptional sound quality, we are equally committed to minimizing our impact on the environment, particularly concerning electronic waste. This category encompasses discarded electronic devices and components, ranging from smartphones and laptops to audio devices like headphones. Although often overlooked, electronic waste poses serious environmental and health risks due to the presence of hazardous materials like lead, mercury, and cadmium. It also contains valuable metals such as gold, silver, and copper, which can be recycled and reused.

Proper electronic waste management is crucial. Recycling helps recover valuable resources, reducing the need for new raw materials and minimizing environmental damage. Safe disposal prevents harmful substances from contaminating soil and water, protecting our ecosystems.

As a valued customer, your role in our sustainability efforts is vital. Here’s how you can contribute:

Repair: opt for repairs over replacements whenever possible. We offer various spare parts through our website, and our customer service team is always ready to assist with any product-related questions or repairs.

Donate: Consider donating functional old electronics to those in need, giving them a second life and reducing waste.

Together, we can continue to enjoy superior sound while making a positive impact on the environment.
